The science behind reticare® was born at the university

Dr. Celia Sánchez-Ramos, researcher at the Complutense University of Madrid, has spent more than two decades studying the impact of light radiation on the human retina.

Blue light (380–500 nm) causes irreversible retinal damage

High-energy blue light triggers oxidative stress and cell death in photoreceptors. A finding confirmed in experimental studies with animal models and human donor cells.
